Job Summary
Software Developer – C# WPF. Collaborate on multiple teams to develop concepts, prototypes and front-end production code in C#/.NET for trading tools. Design and develop new components and extensible controls, maintain style dictionaries and themes, create interactive prototypes to test interactions, visuals, and animations, and iterate to improve product quality. Must demonstrate 2+ years of C#/.NET experience, UI skills with WPF (visual and code examples), and familiarity with version control and Agile methods. On-site at Great Neck, NY office in a fast-paced environment; startup experience a plus. Nice-to-have finance industry experience and exposure to UI-focused front-end collaboration; familiarity with Linux/Unix, shell scripting, and third-party toolkits (Infragistics, DevExpress, Telerik); knowledge of FIX Protocol.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years building software with C# and .Net Framework.
- Strong C# development skills.
- Skilled with using Microsoft Expression Blend.
- Must be able to provide visual and code examples of user interface using WPF.
- Git, CVS or other version control system exposure.
- Agile development methods.
- Thrive in the fast-paced delivery environment - Start-up experience a plus.
- Nice to have: Experience in the financial industry.
- Experience working with a front-end team focused on the user experience.
- Linux/Unix.
- Shell/Pearl/BASH.
- Experience with 3rd party toolkits such as Infragistics, DevExpress or Telerik.
- Knowledge of FIX Protocol.
