Job Summary
Senior Software Developer at Auvik building network management software. You will design scalable microservices architectures, deploy containerized applications with Kubernetes, implement distributed communication protocols, and develop reliable, high-performance code for a distributed collector deployed at thousands of customer sites. You’ll leverage AI-enabled approaches to solve complex engineering problems, work with data from Netflow and Syslog, and collaborate with product management to deliver scalable, maintainable software. The role emphasizes mentoring junior team members, adherence to agile practices, and contributing to a system that supports cloud-based operations and remote collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience developing quality code and architectures (preferably using C++ or Golang)
- Background in designing and developing microservices
- Knowledge of cloud computing, preferably AWS
- Adept in building reliable, highly available, and scalable software on top of the Kafka streaming platform
- Proficiency in agile methodologies such as Scrum
- Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to mentor and guide junior and intermediate team members
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) to work with the team and larger organization
- Experience designing architectures for distributed systems and microservices
- Experience deploying and managing containerized applications using Kubernetes
- Familiarity with networking data sources (e.g., Netflow, Syslog) and protocols
- Ability to apply AI-enabled techniques to solve engineering problems
