Job Summary
Triage production problems, determine faults, and provide fixes in a timely fashion for high-priority items. Test and validate application upgrades, system patches, and production availability while managing and remediating production incidents. Liaise with Operations, Networks, and Database teams to resolve application issues and develop new processes to improve departmental efficiency. Research customer data questions, provide mapping between requirements and data points, and handle customer data releases including packaging, validation, and documentation. Develop predictive classification methods using healthcare-specific datasets such as CMS LDS files, 837, and 835 EDI specifications. Create APIs for interaction with customer-facing tools and perform routine data updates to keep product datasets current. Work within a cross-functional, geographically dispersed team to ensure compliance with company procedures, HIPAA requirements, and operational policies.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of related professional experience
- Expert knowledge of healthcare data formats such as FHIR, CMS files and/or X12/EDI claims processing (specifically 837I/837P)
- Strong ability to develop SQL queries for data analysis
- Experience in working with Python or other programming languages to develop scripts and create APIs
- Experience in working with and implementing Commercial Cloud (AWS, Azure, etc.) database tools
- Experience in working with Databricks on Azure
- Demonstrates a growth mind-set, seeks feedback often and is effective in continuous personal and professional development
- Ability to learn quickly and independently
- Experience with HIPAA and PHI
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and to carry out tasks to completion following standard accepted practices
- Experience working with DevOps tools in a cloud environment
- Experience working with large datasets of varying complexity and form
- Has a deep understanding of context within which our products are being developed, deployed and used
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field
- Travel for this position will include less than 10%, typically for training and collaboration purposes
Desired Qualifications
- Databricks Certified Engineer preferred
