Job Summary
Software Business Development Manager for utility-scale solar software solutions. Drive revenue by positioning and selling ARRAY’s software, including SaaS products, focused on energy yield optimization, extreme weather protection, and recurring revenue. Build and manage a software pipeline across existing customers and new prospects; collaborate with Account Managers to integrate software into tracker/hardware sales; lead product demonstrations and value-based discussions with technical and commercial stakeholders; gather market insights to inform roadmap and go-to-market strategies; align with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales on packaging, pricing, and launches. Target cross-functional engagement with developers, EPCs, IPPs, and asset owners/operators to expand software adoption, analytics, monitoring, and lifecycle services; maintain strong understanding of utility-scale solar market and evolving software trends.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in business development, sales, or account management with software/SaaS experience
- Demonstrated ability to sell value-based solutions with recurring revenue or service models
- Experience supporting complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
- Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to translate technical concepts into customer value
- Cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering, and commercial teams
- Self-starter in a hybrid, evolving role
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field (preferred)
