Job Summary
Build and test shared services and tools while driving operational excellence in a hybrid-cloud environment. Own quality within your team by working back from the customer to establish definitions of done and employing a shift-left mentality. Design and develop automated tests in collaboration with engineers, utilizing AI as a first-class tool to accelerate delivery timelines, surface edge cases, and prevent bugs before they occur. Engage in software release activities and assist with manual testing where applicable to ensure software quality and efficiency. Balance tactical automation solutions with strategic implementation to create sustainable frameworks for long-term initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software quality assurance experience
- Strong programming experience in Python
- Strong programming experience in Javascript
- knowledge of Selenium
- knowledge of Playwright
- A data-driven mindset amplified by AI
- Understanding of code architecture best practices such as reusability, maintainability, scalability, and abstraction
- Experience and understanding of source control (BitBucket/GitHub)
- Experience and understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Github Actions)
- Experience working with REST APIs
- usage of tools like Swagger and Postman
- Experience with SQL and relational databases
- capability to dig into and understand data
- In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology
- Excellent oral and written communication across disciplines and teams
- This role is hybrid, requiring three days per week onsite in our Needham, MA headquarters
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the financial and/or insurance industry is a plus
