Software Asset Analyst

Maintain and manage software asset inventory and license records while administering terms, usage rules, and product associations within the SAM tool. Collect and reconcile installation data to determine compliance positions, monitor environment health, and collaborate with IT Operations to resolve inventory issues. Generate reports on compliance, liabilities, and budgetary information, then analyze exception reports to investigate risks and provide remediation plans. Support sourcing teams with renewals and maintenance agreements, identify underutilized shelfware for reuse or cancellation, and drive cost savings through rationalization. Ensure software management practices comply with internal policies and external standards, maintain documentation, and assist with internal and external audits.
