Software Architect – Development

Job Summary
Identify and develop areas for modification in existing programs while testing and evaluating new software solutions. Collaborate with business partners and technical teams to deliver proposed solutions and guide development teams through all phases of the software development life cycle. Define, document, and record designs for application modifications and troubleshoot production issues of all levels to ensure best practices are followed. Design data models for the enterprise and create real-time and batch system interfaces within a cloud-native data ecosystem. This hybrid role requires living within commuting distance of the Pittsburgh, PA office and involves a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field
- 5 years of experience in a lead development and architect role supporting data engineering processes
- 5 years of experience with ETL/ELT tools (Informatica, DataStage, Oracle PL/SQL, or SQL Server stored procedures), SQL, and Data Bases
- 5 years of data modeling experience for analytical models
- Experience with business intelligence tools (OBIEE, Oracle BI Publisher, Incorta or QuickSight)
- Experience with developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using each of the following: ETL/ELT processes using Informatica PowerCenter, SQL, and RDBMS (including Oracle, SQL Server and Teradata)
- Experience with using problem solving and analytical skills to translate business requirements into technical specs in order to deliver robust data engineering solutions
- Experience with orchestration tools – Apache Airflow
