Job Summary
Softlines Merchandising Specialist for Goodwill Houston. Responsibilities include sorting donated soft goods (clothing, linens, etc.) per quality guidelines, separating sellable from unsellable items, hanging and organizing by department, category and size, processing donations for backroom readiness, pricing according to baseline guidelines, and tagging items. Role involves product rotation, assisting with unloading/donations, maintaining a clean and safe work area, providing basic customer assistance, observing PPE requirements, and supporting store operations to maintain a full, fresh, and friendly shopping environment. Requires effective communication, customer service, retail experience preferred, and ability to work a flexible schedule. Must have reliable transportation and the ability to stand and lift up to 40 lbs (up to 100 lbs occasionally).
