Job Summary
Conduct high-level customer service, accurately record transactions in electronic cash registers and self-checkouts, and replenish merchandise around the checkout area. Maintain planograms, labels, and signing standards while performing cycle counts as required. Ensure compliance with policies for tobacco and lottery sales, follow health and safety guidelines, keep the checkout work area clean, and apply loss prevention best practices. Manage hot-selling items and complete markdowns and SKU changes when needed. Work a typical full-time schedule of 35-40 hours weekly including day shifts, two evenings, and alternating weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada and maintain authorization for the duration of employment.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 18 kg (40 lbs.).
- Ability to stand and/or walk.
- Ability to bend, twist, and squat.
- Ability to perform tasks involving firm grasping.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks requiring a range of hand motions.
- Ability to reach above shoulder height and below waist level.
- Ability to operate equipment, including using a ladder.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
