Job Summary
Head Coach for high school softball overseeing varsity and supporting junior varsity and freshman programs. Responsibilities include directing and evaluating coaching staff, collaborating with athletic leadership on scheduling, ensuring medical examinations and appropriate insurance coverage, maintaining equipment and facilities, guiding team ethics and sportsmanship, recruiting and developing supporting staff (equipment managers, scorekeepers, statisticians), advising on schedules and official performance evaluations, and maintaining athletic records and eligibility lists while present at most contests and invitational/postseason events.
Required Qualifications
- Coaching experience or participation in the sport at high school or college levels
- CPR and First Aid training or enrollment in current CPR and First Aid training course
- Prefer experience as a teacher or classified employee in Loudoun County Public Schools
- Prefer a Virginia Teaching License candidate or a full-time classified employee for Loudoun County Public Schools
