Job Summary
Soft Count Team Member performs slot drop, counts and balances cash, chips, and casino assets in the soft count room in compliance with gaming regulations and departmental procedures. Responsible for recording cash, currency, coin, and chip inventory, preparing comprehensive daily reports, and maintaining confidentiality and integrity in guest and team member interactions. Requires strong math, 10-key proficiency, attention to detail, and ability to work under deadlines; may require weekend or later hours. Must be 21+, able to obtain WA State Class III Gaming License, and successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen. Education requirement: High School Diploma or GED. Environment is indoors in a casino/hotel setting with potential exposure to smoke and 24/7 operations.
Required Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED is required for this position.
- A minimum of six (6) months' drop experience and/or cash handling experience are preferred, preferably in a high-volume cash handling or casino environment.
- Prior currency count machine experience preferred.
- Must demonstrate 10-key skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office products.
- Must be able read/write and handle money quickly and accurately.
- Must be a minimum of 21 years old and have the ability to obtain and retain a Washington State Class III Gaming License; successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.
