Job Summary
Migrant Graduation Specialist provides advisory, liaison, and facilitation services to migrant high school students to promote graduation and post-secondary opportunities; conducts small-group and one-on-one support; coordinates with programs such as FAFSA, ORSAA, and college applications; organizes regional information sessions for students and families and collaborates with SOESD staff and outside organizations; tracks student progress in district systems and maintains data; supports families with social services referrals and information about post-secondary options; works in schools across Klamath County with a workspace at the SOESD office in Klamath Falls; required to be friendly, organized, collaborative, self-motivated, and knowledgeable about graduation requirements; bilingual in Spanish and English; valid Oregon driver's license; in-person location at SOESD Klamath Falls.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a field pertinent to youth development
- Experience working with the Latino community
- Strong communication skills
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Valid Oregon Driver's license
- Any equivalent combination of experience, certification and training/education deemed by the district
