Job Summary
Administrative Assistant II in the Superintendent's Office for SOESD. Responsibilities include preparing documents (letters, reports, memos), compiling program data for federal/state/county reporting, processing purchase orders and reimbursements, receptionist duties, handling correspondence and minutes, organizing meetings and travel logistics, maintaining files and records, coordinating materials and staff travel, managing attendance records, calendar management for supervisor and staff, and supporting office operations and confidential information with strong written and verbal communication, typing speed (55 WPM), and accuracy under minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- two years progressively responsible secretarial experience
- keyboard skills 55 WPM
- ability to work with minimal supervision
- effective communication and interpersonal skills
- proficient in business English, spelling, grammar, punctuation
- experience with office technology including keyboard skills, transcription, basic accounting
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- ability to follow established policies
