Job Summary
Conduct behavioral health assessments and provide individual and family psychotherapy utilizing brief treatment modalities for Southcoast Health patients across the hospital system. Serve as a consultant and resource to hospital staff in the management and treatment of behavioral health disorders while collaborating with complex and chronic care management teams. Coordinate longitudinal community support services under the direction of the Manager of Social Work. Requires a Masters Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling and a current Massachusetts LICSW or LMHC license. Performs duties at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA, with a 40-hour day shift schedule from 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Required Qualifications
- A Masters Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited college or university
- Current Massachusetts Licensed Independent Clinical Social Work (LICSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
- Demonstrated ability to perform as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- BLS certification
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with electronic medical record documentation
