Job Summary
Conduct trauma-informed case management by building safe, respectful relationships with participants, completing individual assessments, and developing personalized case plans for housing, employment, substance use recovery, and parenting support. Serve as the initial point of contact for referrals, conduct intake interviews, screen applicants, and coordinate participant orientation and admission procedures. Advocate for participants by connecting them with community resources, government agencies, and external service providers while maintaining accurate records and reporting observed behaviors. Collaborate with the Arrow Home team, clinical counsellors, and community partners to implement individualized action plans and facilitate planned or unplanned exits. Provide coaching on responsive parenting skills, secure attachment, and infant cues, and lead or support group programming as required. Participate in the on-call rotation, crisis management, and staff meetings. This permanent, full-time role involves 37.5 hours per week with a starting wage of $35.20 to $38.46 per hour. Applicants must identify as women and hold a Bachelor of Social Work degree.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Social Work degree
- current full registration with the BC College of Social Workers
- Two to three years of related work experience
- knowledge of issues related to substance use disorder and recovery
- knowledge of issues related to poverty
- knowledge of issues related to parenting
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Demonstrated ability to provide trauma-informed care
- Understanding of the Stages of Change
- Understanding of Attachment Theory
- Experience using Motivational Interviewing as a therapeutic approach
- Understanding of, or experience working with, Child Protection Social Workers
