Job Summary
Advise and counsel students regarding academic, educational, and short-term social and emotional problems while providing individual student planning and responsive services to support families. Teach guidance classes, facilitate workshops for parents, and consult with teachers and administrators to coordinate academic modifications and accommodations. Participate on the Student Success Team to identify students needing targeted services and collaborate with behavioral health specialists to implement student supports. Remain universally accessible to know every student and assist families in understanding school policies. Provide brief counseling for social and emotional concerns and refer students to behavioral health specialists as needed. Support and attend appropriate student activities and events.
Required Qualifications
- documented evidence of identity and eligibility to work in the United States
- successful completion of the required criminal background clearance process
