Job Summary
The social worker is responsible for providing clinical social work services including psychosocial assessments and treatments to adult patients and their families in ambulatory clinics. This includes collaborating with healthcare teams on patient care plans, developing solutions for crises, and serving as a liaison to community resources. Essential duties include maintaining knowledge of community services, performing assessments, and providing advocacy for individuals in need, while also supervising social work students and fulfilling administrative requirements.
Required Qualifications
- MSW from an accredited social work graduate program
- Obtain New York State license within eighteen months of employment
- Prior clinical experience in a medical setting (preferred)
- Supervisory experience (preferred)
