Job Summary
Social Worker at Great Falls Clinic Hospital provides counseling and education to patients and families, serves as liaison between patients, families and medical staff, and connects patients with community resources and financial assistance. Responsibilities include offering information on cancer and chronic disease treatment, maintaining information/referral systems, and ensuring coordination with oncology services. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (MSW preferred) and Montana license eligibility or active licensure; emphasizes collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, patient-centered care, and strong communication and case-management capabilities. Pre-employment screening (criminal background check, drug screening, health and immunizations) is contingent upon offer. The role focuses on support across oncology and chronic disease contexts with emphasis on compassionate, team-based care.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, required
- Current Montana License, eligibility for licensure, or working hours toward licensure
- Knowledge of social work principles and practices; ability to use diagnostic tools including DSM IV-R
- Skills in assessment, diagnosis, treatment, counseling, and case management
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Time management skills
