Job Summary
Coordinate services for homeless clients by interfacing with the New York City Department of Homeless Services, shelter providers, and community-based organizations to ensure optimal care. Complete psychosocial assessments impacted by multiple systems, assess client needs, and facilitate linkages to community services within a crisis-driven environment. Apply expertise in strengths-based, solution-focused, and family-centered practice while addressing substance abuse, domestic violence, trauma, and mental health conditions. Requires current LMSW or LMHC licensure, a Master's in social work, and knowledge of child welfare guidelines. Located in-person at Ralph Avenue, Brooklyn, NY.
Required Qualifications
- Current licensure - LMSW or LMHC ( LIMITED PERMIT may be considered)
- Master's in social work or equivalent
- Knowledge of emotional/behavioral health; mental health and diagnostic classification
- Strong expertise in strengths-based, solution-focused, and family-centered practice
- Knowledge of guidelines, policies and regulations relating to child welfare, safety, permanency and well-being
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team, to assist individuals of diverse ethnicities, backgrounds, ages, and sexual preferences
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual candidates preferred but not required
