Job Summary

Conduct psychosocial assessments of complex families impacted by multiple systems and facilitate linkages to community-based services. Assess family needs within a crisis-driven environment involving substance abuse, domestic violence, child maltreatment, and trauma. Provide education to team members regarding client stressors, document medical and psychological histories, and submit qualitative and quantitative feedback to the Department of Homeless Services. Work at least five days a week, eight hours a day, from a strength-based, family-focused perspective while serving as a liaison to community agencies. Complete written reports capturing provider strengths and recommendations for improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Masters in Social Work
  • Licensure - LMSW
  • Knowledge of child and adolescent development
  • Knowledge of emotional/behavioral health
  • Knowledge of mental health
  • Knowledge of parent-child relationships
  • Knowledge of family dynamics
  • Knowledge of diagnostic classification
  • Strong expertise in strengths-based practice
  • Strong expertise in solution-focused practice
  • Strong expertise in family-centered practice
  • Knowledge of guidelines, policies and regulations relating to child welfare
  • Knowledge of guidelines, policies and regulations relating to safety
  • Knowledge of guidelines, policies and regulations relating to permanency
  • Knowledge of guidelines, policies and regulations relating to well-being
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to assist individuals of diverse ethnicities
