Job Summary

Coordinate School Safety Program grant activities and evaluation surveys while conducting social and emotional learning universal screenings and data analysis. Support site implementation of the SUSD MTSS framework by providing evidence-informed, trauma-informed individual and group support for identified students. Complete individual risk assessments, school safety/support plans, and mandatory paperwork to comply with federal, state, and district policies. Mediate conflicts between parents, teachers, and students using a restorative approach and participate in committees such as Student Support Teams and the Threat Assessment Team. Provide referrals to families seeking community resources and lead workshops on parenting skills, effective communication, and trauma-informed practices. Maintain case records to document activities and ensure alignment with the Multi-Tier Systems of Support model under the direction of Support Services.

Required Qualifications

Arizona Department of Education Certification (PreK-12 Social Worker or Counselor)
Master's degree (required) in area of social work (preferred)
Job related experience is required
Knowledge of pertinent codes, policies, regulations and/or laws
