Job Summary
Social Worker for the School Safety Grant collaborates with students, parents, and related social service agencies to support academic success, counsels students, and acts as advocate, consultant, resource person, and community liaison. The role requires expertise in social work, counseling, and consultation, with knowledge of community social service agencies and compliance with district and school policies. The position is grant-funded and must meet all grant requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree of Social Work or equivalent professional social work degree from an accredited graduate school of social work
- One (1) year of field instruction (student internship) in a school system, or one (1) year of employment as a school social worker
- Valid Arizona Department of Education Social Worker Certificate
- Ability to meet all the Social Worker requirements of the School Safety/ESSER program at the school for which it is awarded
- Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Identity Verified Prints (IVP) fingerprint card
- You must attach a copy of your certificate, fingerprint clearance card, and full college transcripts to be considered for this position
