Job Summary
The School Social Worker provides mental health and social-emotional support services to students, focusing on improving academic, social, emotional, and behavioral functioning through counseling, assessment, crisis response, and family collaboration. Key responsibilities include conducting individual and group counseling, crisis management, accurate documentation, and participating in IEP assessments and evaluations. Required qualifications include a Master's Degree in Social Work, strong assessment skills, knowledge of best practices, effective communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Ideal candidates will also possess the CDE Special Provider License endorsement or equivalent.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university

- Knowledge of best practices in school social work and school-based mental health services

- Proficiency with computer technology and electronic documentation systems
Desired Qualifications
- Previous school social work experience preferred
- Bilingual or multilingual skills
- CDE Special Provider License endorsement in School Social Work or passed the ASWB or has an LCSW
