Job Summary
Conduct bio-psychosocial assessments, mental status examinations, and mental health evaluations for clients. Deliver individual, couples, group, and family counseling consistent with treatment plans while documenting SOAP notes. Perform crisis intervention to stabilize situations and facilitate referrals for appropriate levels of care. Screen adults and adolescents for mental health and substance use, and conduct developmental screens for young children. Design and facilitate specialized therapeutic groups based on client needs. Serve as a liaison to community agencies and organizations to foster professional linkages. Maintain accurate client records ensuring compliance with 42 CFR, HIPAA, and agency policies. Work Tuesday through Saturday from 2:00pm to 10:00pm.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Social Work
- NYS LMSW/LCSW licensure
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of one to three (1-3) years of demonstrated clinical experience in substance use and/or mental health treatment or shelter experience preferred
- In-depth knowledge of NYC's diverse network of medical and behavioral health care organizations, including substance use disorders, treatment services, education, and employment services, and non-traditional community support groups
- Computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHR
- Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
