Job Summary
Conduct bio-psychosocial assessments, mental status examinations, and mental health evaluations for clients and program applicants. Deliver individual, couples, group, and family counseling consistent with treatment plans while documenting SOAP notes and making appropriate referrals. Provide crisis intervention until stabilization, facilitate specialized therapeutic groups, and assist families with service barriers. Perform screenings for substance use and developmental needs, maintain accurate client records complying with HIPAA and 42 CFR regulations, and serve as a liaison to community agencies and organizations.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Social Work
- NYS LMSW/LCSW licensure
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of one to three (1-3) years of demonstrated clinical experience in substance use and/or mental health treatment or shelter experience preferred
- In-depth knowledge of NYC's diverse network of medical and behavioral health care organizations, including substance use disorders, treatment services, education, and employment services, and non-traditional community support groups
- Computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHR
- Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
