Job Summary
Conduct bio-psychosocial assessments, mental status examinations, and mental health evaluations for clients. Deliver individual, couples, group, and family counseling consistent with treatment plans while documenting SOAP notes. Perform intake screenings for program applicants, including mental health/substance use screenings for adults and adolescents and developmental screens for children. Provide crisis intervention until stabilization and participate in incident follow-ups. Design and facilitate specialized therapeutic groups based on client needs. Serve as a liaison to community agencies to foster professional linkages and assist families with service barriers. Maintain accurate client records complying with regulatory requirements and confidentiality regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Social Work
- NYS LMSW/LCSW licensure
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of one to three (1-3) years of demonstrated clinical experience in substance use and/or mental health treatment or shelter experience preferred
- In-depth knowledge of NYC's diverse network of medical and behavioral health care organizations, including substance use disorders, treatment services, education, and employment services, and non-traditional community support groups
- Computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHR
- Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
