Job Summary
Social Worker responsible for conducting formal intake interviews, completing psycho-social assessments and histories, providing short- and long-term counseling, crisis intervention, safety planning, and psycho-education. Maintains comprehensive programmatic paperwork, assists clients with entitlement forms, and makes referrals to services (food, clothing, medical/psychiatric evaluations, TB/HIV testing) with follow-up. Facilitates referrals within Project Hospitality and the community, participates in supervision and staff meetings, facilitates community meetings and ongoing case conferences, and transports clients to referral sites when necessary. Requires a Master's in Social Work and LMSW; minimum 1 year of experience with mentally ill and homeless populations (substance abuse experience preferred); knowledge of DSM V; bilingual Spanish/English a plus; strong oral and written communication skills for confidential and sensitive issues.
Required Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Social Work and LMSW required
