Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments, data collection, and evidence-based interventions to support student learning, social development, and mental health. Collaborate with educators, families, and professionals to implement multi-tiered systems of support, including behavioral interventions, counseling, and social skills training. Develop strategies to create safe, healthy learning environments while managing crisis preparation and recovery. Evaluate services against research and standards to measure progress and outcomes, documenting all work in district systems. Provide culturally responsive services that promote social justice and family-school partnerships across diverse student populations.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in social work
- Experience providing case management, facilitating support groups, or delivering mental health interventions in a school setting
- Basic knowledge of typical office equipment such as telephones, copiers, fax machines, email, etc.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Intermediate organizational skills
- Advanced verbal and written communication and interpersonal relations skills
- Ability and desire to work as a team member
- Ability to guide, direct, or influence people
- Ability to understand, appreciate, and make accommodations for student diversity
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholder groups
- Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire
- Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Initial Special Services Provider (SSP) license in School Social Work or be in the process of obtaining this license prior to employment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
- Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (CDORA) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license
