Job Summary
The Social Worker is responsible for providing quality psychotherapeutic and discharge planning services, supporting patient families and participating in comprehensive assessment, group treatment, and family work as part of an interdisciplinary team. Required qualifications include a Master's Degree in Social Work, knowledge of developmental psychology, acute care treatment, and cognitive behavioral theories, along with the ability to maintain professional relationships and ensure patient confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Social Work/Social Services
- Knowledge of developmental psychology and needs of various populations
- Knowledge of short term/acute care stabilization mental health treatment
- Knowledge of cognitive behavioral theory and systems theory
- Ability to develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families
- Assessment skills for evaluating mental illness and substance abuse in clients age 18 and above
- Facilitation skills for leading process, psychoeducation, and multifamily groups
- Skills in preparing and maintaining appropriate medical record documentation
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of experience working in a mental health setting
- Previous hospital experience
- Licensed Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Social Worker
