Job Summary
Maintain involvement with patients and families while participating in staff consultations, assessments, and evaluations. Keep informed of the latest professional practices and trends, performing other duties as assigned. Maintain New York State licensure, LMSW or LCSW certification, and Basic Life Support certification. Hold a Master's degree in Social Work with at least two years of medical social work experience. Acute medical hospital experience and proficiency in MS Office are required. Join a non-profit teaching hospital serving over 100,000 patients annually on Long Island with a Level I Trauma Center.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work
- New York State Licensure
- Certification as a LMSW or LCSW
- Must display proficient MS Office and strong keyboarding skills
- Must be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years medical social work preferred
- Clinical experience preferred
- Acute medical hospital experience and/or experience in a health care environment preferred
