Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and establish goals for patients and families admitted to Nemours Children's Hospital. Provide crisis intervention for psychiatric emergencies, domestic violence, and child abuse while managing referrals to internal and external providers. Offer case management, discharge planning, and advocacy to facilitate patient and family adjustment to illness. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address needs related to medical illness, ADHD, depression, anxiety, and autism spectrum disorders. Respond to on-call events within five minutes while remaining within a thirty-minute drive of the hospital, and cover holiday shifts as required. Maintain professional development through continuing education programs to enhance knowledge of age-specific growth and development principles.
