Job Summary
Provide mental health therapy to youth and families presenting with disorders through brief, multi-session individual and family sessions. Facilitate group therapy for adolescents and parents while collaborating with other health providers and agencies as part of the treatment process. Operate under the direction of the Manager and supervision by an MSW SR within a multi-disciplinary team. Periodically assist with program planning, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical supervision of practicum students. Requires one year of clinically supervised experience, an MSW, and RSW licensure. Full-time temporary role with days shifts, 28 hours per 6 weeks, located in Saskatoon. Preference given to HSAS members.
Required Qualifications
- One year clinically supervised experience providing MH therapy to adolescents
- Master of Social Work (MSW)
- Registered Social Worker (RSW)
- Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW)
- Advanced - Decision making skills
- Advanced - Problem solving skills
- Advanced - Communication skills
- Advanced - Organizational skills
- Uses independent judgment based on evidence-based practice
- Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to work independently
- Knowledge of adolescence in the life cycle/family systems and attachment theory
- Ability to establish relationships with clients with mental health distress
Desired Qualifications
- Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement
