Job Summary
Coordinate and monitor resident care conferences while working with individuals, families, and responsible parties to address placement adjustments and crises. Plan, organize, and direct social services to meet residents' medically related emotional and social needs, advocating for personal requirements and utilizing community resources. Complete comprehensive documentation in a timely manner and support staff on resident-related issues. Comply with facility privacy policies to protect resident health information. Relate resident condition information to the Interdisciplinary Team as appropriate. Full-time and part-time roles available with weekly pay ranging from $35 to $40 depending on license.
Required Qualifications
- LSWA, LSW, LCSW, or LICSW in Massachusetts
- Bachelor's in social work from an approved school of social work
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
- Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and general public
- Patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm
- Willingness to handle residents based on whatever maturity level in which they are currently functioning
- Ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing Social Service practices
- Ability to relate information concerning a resident's condition/incident to the Interdisciplinary Team as appropriate
- Up to date with COVID and flu vaccinations, or acknowledge a declination of the vaccination(s)
