Job Summary
Social Worker needed to join Looked After Children team in Somerset. Manage a caseload of looked-after children, develop and regularly review care plans, ensure safe and supportive placements (foster, residential, kinship), promote health, education and emotional wellbeing, conduct statutory visits and direct work, prepare reports for Looked After Child Reviews, collaborate with birth families, carers, schools, health professionals and other agencies, support transitions including reunification, adoption or leaving care, and advocate for the child’s voice in planning and decision-making. Requirements include Social Work England registration, eligibility to work in the UK, a full UK driving licence, post-qualification experience, and a degree level or equivalent in Social Work.
