Job Summary
Social Worker for Looked After Children responsible for managing a caseload of children in the care of the local authority, developing and reviewing care plans, ensuring safe placements (foster, residential, kinship), promoting health, education and emotional wellbeing, conducting statutory visits and direct work, preparing reports for Looked After Child Reviews, collaborating with birth families, carers, schools and health professionals, and supporting transitions (reunification, adoption, leaving care) while advocating for the child’s voice in planning and decision-making. Requires Social Work England registration, UK work eligibility, a full UK driving licence, post-qualification experience, and a degree level or equivalent in Social Work.
