Job Summary
Social Worker with LMSW/LCSW-R to provide individual and group counseling for students, complete annuals/IEP-aligned goals, collaborate with teachers and interdisciplinary team members on IEP goals, coordinate holiday donations, conduct psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans, provide counseling per IEP, assist families with developmental and behavioral needs, crisis intervention and student advocacy, facilitate communication between school, families and external agencies, promote social-emotional learning, maintain confidential records, link students to community services and outside agencies as needed, participate in classroom team meetings, and support service planning across educational, medical, vocational, residential and social needs at the Myers Corners (Wappingers Falls) and Hyde Park Education Centers in NY.
Required Qualifications
- LMSW or LCSW-R
- five years’ experience working with children and adolescents with developmental disabilities
- Required Counseling experience with developmentally disabled adolescents and family training experience
- School district systems experience is helpful
