Job Summary
Conduct assessments, deliver crisis intervention, and provide individual, family/couples, and group psychotherapy to patients and families of choice. Facilitate appropriate referrals within Callen-Lorde or externally, collaborate with psychiatry and primary care providers, and maintain productivity standards through scheduling and monitoring. Participate in program development, quality improvement initiatives, and agency on-call services. Provide clinical, administrative, and documentation supervision to staff as assigned. Write letters for patients seeking gender-affirming surgery. Requires LMSW/LCSW licensure, NYS experience, and proficiency with EPIC.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work
- NYS licensure – LMSW or LCSW
- 1+ years post-Master's clinical experience
- Experience working in New York State Article 31 and/or Article 28 outpatient practice setting
- Knowledge of LGBT- and HIV-related health/mental health issues and concerns
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Computer literacy
- The ability to maintain ongoing documentation in an electronic charting system (EPIC)
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
- Commitment to the mission of Callen-Lorde Community Health Center
- Ability to work with diverse populations
- Ability to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks
- Ability to work independently but yet be team focused
- Ability to remain calm, focused, and helpful under stress
- Excellent attention to detail
