Job Summary
Maintain involvement with patients and families while participating in staff consultations, assessments, and evaluations. Keep informed of the latest professional practices and trends, performing other duties as assigned. Hold a Master's degree in Social Work with New York State licensure and certification as an LMSW or LCSW. Maintain proficiency in MS Office and strong keyboarding skills, and display certification in Basic Life Support (American Heart Association only). Acute medical hospital experience and clinical experience are preferred. Full-time employment at Good Samaritan University Hospital on Long Island.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work
- New York State Licensure
- Certification as a LMSW or LCSW required
- Must display proficient MS Office and strong keyboarding skills
- Must be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)- American Heart Association only accepted
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years medical social work preferred
- Clinical experience preferred
- Acute medical hospital experience and/or experience in a health care environment preferred
