Job Summary
Act as a Co-Responder Social Worker partnering with Peoria Police to provide crisis-intervention and connected mental health services. Responsibilities include active listening, motivational interviewing, clinically appropriate crisis resolution, risk assessment, culturally sensitive counseling, follow-up case management, collaboration with law enforcement, emergency departments, and other emergency personnel; maintain documentation, ensure patient safety, supervise staff, and navigate Medicare Home Care eligibility and services. Requires an Illinois LCSW, Master's in Social Work, ability to drive in varying weather, travel, and strong de-escalation and documentation skills. Based in the Carle Health system serving the Peoria, IL area with opportunities across central Illinois; roles include in-person work with active patient care and interagency collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree: Social Work (Required)
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Driver‘s License - Secretary of State (SOS)
- Proof of Auto Insurance
- Experience: 1 year of related experience preferred
