Job Summary
Deliver quality, competent, safe, and compassionate care based on established standards in a patient-focused preventative, treatment care, and counseling setting. Provide services to families in North and Central Brooklyn, specifically serving the undeserved population without regard for ability to pay. Maintain a positive working relationship within a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating effective interpersonal skills and sensitivity to cultural, religious, racial, disability, and gender issues. Apply recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and motivational interviewing techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Behavioral Activation, while utilizing DSM-V knowledge for psychosis, OCD, and Substance Use Disorder. Ensure all interactions are bilingual in English and Spanish, with onsite availability required every other Saturday.
Required Qualifications
- LCSW
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Must be able to work onsite
- Must be able to work every other Saturday
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Sensitivity to cultural, religious, racial, disability, and gender issues
- Excellent written/oral communication and computer skills
- Ability to foster and maintain a positive working relationship in a multidisciplinary team and clients
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of the DSM –V
- Understanding of psychosis
- Understanding of OCD
- Understanding of Substance Use Disorder Counseling
