Job Summary
Review and assess a backlog of cases, completing standard assessments and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, including the Care Act 2014. Undertake strengths-based assessments, planning, and direct work with adults with care and support needs and their carers, while protecting them from abuse or neglect through safeguarding duties. Practise social work transparently and accountably in accordance with professional standards and ethics. This role offers diverse experience working with individuals of all ages, from children to adults, focusing on holistic support for personal, social care, and health outcomes. You will collaborate with other professionals to enhance knowledge and expertise, with opportunities for continuous learning and career progression within the service.
Required Qualifications
- A recognised professional qualification in social work, such as an MA, BA, BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, or CQSW (Certificate of Qualification in Social Work)
- Must be registered with Social Work England, the regulatory body for social workers in England
- Significant experience in delivering social work services to vulnerable adults, including those with disabilities and complex needs
- Thorough understanding of relevant legislation, such as the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005
- Strong assessment and analysis skills
- The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- A full UK driving licence
- Access to a car
