Social Worker - Inpatient - PT

The Social Worker - Inpatient works to provide patients and family members with psychosocial support and counseling needed to cope with various emotional or physical problems. Responsibilities include conducting detailed psychosocial assessments, coordinating services such as group therapy, crisis intervention, and client advocacy, as well as supervising undergraduate and graduate students. A high level of knowledge in human behavior assessment and treatment methods is essential, along with strong verbal and written communication skills. This role also involves documentation, compliance with medical standards, participation in performance improvement initiatives, and acting as a liaison for financial counseling and community resources. The position requires maintaining a comprehensive working knowledge of medical/legal issues related to patient care.
