Job Summary
Provide autonomous social work services to residents; establish 1:1 relationships with residents to enable a comprehensive range of social work services and support safe, independent living. Support MSW professionals in obtaining licensure, with study groups, licensing exam coverage, and supervision; expect to work with older adults in a housing setting. Responsibilities include assisting residents with medical/mental health services, entitlements and home care; establishing/maintaining family and social relationships; budgeting and income maintenance; crisis intervention; individual counseling; facilitating in-house and community socialization activities; discharge planning; group work; intake participation; sharing resident progress with staff; maintaining thorough case records and compliance with confidentiality policies; and maintaining competency in software/databases; plus attendance at supervision and staff meetings.
Required Qualifications
- MSW or MA in human services field
- minimum of two years social work experience
- Fluency in written and oral English required; bilingual a plus
