Job Summary
The Social Worker is responsible for assessing and evaluating clients referred by the NYC Department of Homeless Services, developing individual living plans for families, and providing clinical supervision to Case Managers. Responsibilities include conducting clinical case conferences, crisis intervention, coordinating mental health referrals, and monitoring client compliance. The position requires a Masters Degree in Social Work and three years of relevant experience, with a commitment to sensitivity towards diverse populations, including the homeless community.
Required Qualifications
- Three years of experience working with the homeless population
- Demonstrated sensitivity and experience with homeless families including LGBTQ+ individuals and those with substance abuse and mental health issues
- Familiarity with DHS regulations and DHS Cares Reporting
- Clinical experience including psychosocial assessments and developing individual living plans
