Job Summary
Social Worker for the Justice Mentoring Initiative providing intensive case management, counseling, and advocacy for 30+ justice-involved youth and families. Responsibilities include conducting intake and assessments, developing individualized service and referral plans, delivering one-on-one and group counseling, crisis intervention, coordinating with schools, probation, law enforcement and community partners, and maintaining detailed case documentation. Role may involve court testimony and participation in trainings and team meetings. Requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work (license or license-eligible preferred) and at least 2 years of experience with at-risk youth; strong skills in counseling, communication, relationship-building, organization, and cultural competence. Location: Grand Bridge Tech Center, New York, NY.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field (license or license-eligible preferred)
- At least 2 years of experience working with at-risk youth and families
- Strong knowledge of juvenile justice systems, trauma-informed care, youth development, crisis intervention, and case management
