Job Summary
School Social Worker for Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Responsibilities include conducting psychosocial assessments, designing and coordinating prevention/intervention services, providing individual/group/family counseling, addressing attendance/truancy concerns, coordinating case management with community resources, and advocating for student and family rights while maintaining confidentiality and collaborating with administrators, teachers, and community providers. Must apply social work theory to school-based contexts, support student wellness, and stay current with best practices through ongoing professional development. Requires ability to travel as needed and to work within district policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work
- Current certification in School Social Work by the Florida Department of Education
- Valid Florida driver’s license
- Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills
