Job Summary
Children’s Social Worker in Lancashire’s Family Saf safeguarding Service, Chorley. Manage caseloads including Child in Need and Child Protection, complete assessments and planning, and conduct direct work with families within a supportive, multidisciplinary team. Deliver relationship-based, strengths-based practice, using Motivational Interviewing to empower families, collaborate with domestic abuse and mental health practitioners, and help keep children safe while promoting long-term change. Opportunity for career development through induction via the Social Work Academy, ongoing training in Family Safeguarding, supervision, and a collaborative work environment with flexible options.
Required Qualifications
- Social Work degree
- Eligible for Social Work England registration
- Newly Qualified Social Worker or Qualified but not yet completed statutory placement
