Job Summary

Conduct duty and assessment duties across East Lancashire, evaluating cases to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and families. Collaborate with multiple agencies to develop multi-agency plans, actively engaging children, young people, and families in the assessment process. Drive to various locations within the region as your own vehicle is required for business use. This role supports the Family Safeguarding model within Lancashire County Council Children's Services, focusing on strengths-based approaches. Candidates must hold a recognized Social Work degree, be registered with Social Work England, and possess at least 12 months of post-qualification experience, including completed ASYE.

Required Qualifications

  • Holds a recognised Social Work degree
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Minimum 12-months post-qualification experience
  • Is collaborative and can work well with multiple agencies to achieve the best outcome for children & their families
  • Is able to drive and has access to their own vehicle
  • Have already completed their ASYE
  • Must be registered (Social Work England) to be appointed as a Social Worker
  • Required to apply to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for a 'disclosure'
  • You will be required to provide a car for use in connection with the duties of this post
  • Must be insured for business use
