Job Summary
Provide community-based mental health counseling services to clients within Adult and Child and Youth Mental Health Programs. Deliver public education, mental health promotion, consultations, and advocacy to support individuals improving their quality of life. Manage a high-demand caseload and collaborate with broader interdisciplinary teams while applying clinical skills in group and individual interventions. Requires a valid Class 5 driver's license, travel to Biggar, and a Bachelor of Social Work degree.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Knowledge of HIPA
- Knowledge of the Child and Family Service's Act
- Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work and communicate in a cross cultural setting
- Ability to work in a cross cultural setting
- Ability to work independently and with broader interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to provide public presentation and professional training
- Ability to manage a high demand caseload and other work assignments
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Ability to carry, load and unload equipment and supplies
- Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Exemplifies ethical practices, professionalism and personal integrity
- Knowledge in psychological assessment and treatment methods and tools
- Knowledge in adult treatment and intervention techniques
- Knowledge and understanding of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
- Knowledgeable in treatments across a wide clinical spectrum
- Broad clinical skills in group and individual interventions
- Knowledge in community development
- Knowledge in mental health assessment systems
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite
- Travel required
