Job Summary
Conduct behavioral health assessments and provide individual and family psychotherapy utilizing brief treatment modalities for Southcoast Health patients across the hospital system. Serve as a consultant and resource to hospital staff in the management and treatment of behavioral health disorders while collaborating with complex and chronic care management teams. Perform duties under the direction of the Manager of Social Work, coordinating longitudinal community support services. Work per diem on day or evening shifts (8:00am–4:30pm or 3:30pm–12:00am) at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA, including weekends and two holidays annually. Requires a current Massachusetts LICSW or LMHC license, a Master's degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling, and BLS certification within three months of hire.
Required Qualifications
- A Masters Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited college or university
- Demonstrated ability to perform as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Current Massachusetts Licensed Independent Clinical Social Work (LICSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
- BLS certification
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
- 2 holidays per year
